Ninthsheep Debut Issue

I can't believe this happened! This project was an idea only and today it became a reality. Me and my partner spent over a year curating this content. From film projects, archive runway pieces to collaborating with talented people. I encourage my readers to follow their passion!

I have titled this "SELFSCAPE".

SELFSCAPE IS A COMPENDIUM OF OUR UNRELENTING PENCHANT TO BOLDLY EXPRESS OURSELVES FREELY.

HERE, WE SOUGHT TO CAPTURE THE RULING MAP OF OUR INDIVIDUALITIES WHICH SHOW DIFFERENT YET CONNECTED ENVIRONMENTS THROUGH THE SINGULAR PASSION FOR CREATING.

SELFSCAPE IS A TWO-WAY PROCESS OF SELF-SEEING. NOT ONLY IT EXAMINES THE MIRROR BUT ALSO REVEALS THE PLANES AND LAYERS OF THE PSYCHE USING IMAGERY, ART AND STORIES THAT HOLD MEANING TO US. WE HAVE COLLABORATED WITH FRIENDS ACROSS THE GLOBE TO SHARE THIS BEAUTIFUL GIFT OF STORYTELLING THROUGH PORTRAITS THAT SERVE AS EMBLEM OF INSPIRATIONS, DREAMS AND INFLUENCES.

THE WORD 'SELFSCAPE' WHICH SOUNDS SIMILARLY TO 'SELF-ESCAPE' UNDENIABLY CAME TO MIND AS WELL. FASHION AND ART HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ATTRIBUTED AS A MEANS TO SEPARATE FROM SOMETHING. IT COULD BE FROM A MUNDANE JOB, A STAGNANT ENVIRONMENT, A DORMANCY OF THE MIND AND SOUL, A MANUFACTURED IDENTITY. WHATEVER IT IS, A BOX IS THE PERFECT REPRESENTATION OF WHAT WE WANTED TO ESCAPE FROM. THE NOTION OF ESCAPISM IS A CATALYST TO TRULY EXERCISE OUR POETRY IN THIS SOMEWHAT PROSAIC WORLD.
